E              COMMUNICATION HALL AND AUXILIARY PREMISES

The approximate planned area of the communication halls at the building level is around 2500 m2.

The surface of the halls and the auxiliary premises with the communication halls is an approximate one and the areas may be optimized depending on the mutual position of the halls and other premises that imply the use of larger auxiliary premises.

The sanitary premises in the building include the premises for the audience, group toilets for the performers and separate toilets at the soloist dressing rooms. The group sanitary premises should be sized based on the parameter: 1 toilet for every 20 visitors. There should be an equal number of male and female toilets. The total capacity of the toilets should be proportionally distributed on the floors used by visitors and performers. Wardrobes for the audience are located in the hall’s main access area. Sized by applying the parameter 1 m of stand for 70 visitors. The area for visitors' clothes is 0.2 m2 per visitor,

An addition to the net surface, depending on the group, totals:

Group 1 - lectures, exercises, examinations and seminars 50% Group 2 - teaching rooms - cabinets 30% Group 3 - laboratories, practicums and ancillary rooms 50% Group 4 - common services and premises 40% Group 5 technical premises             30%

The addition to the net surface includes the surfaces of vertical (stairs, lifts) and horizontal communications, installations and walls, which implies a programme gross surface.

F               TECHNICAL FACILITIES

These premises include the technical areas of the installation systems for heating, air conditioning, energy units, security, technical communications, economical accesses, equipment storage and evacuation routes. The air conditioning system should be able to selectively turn on/off air conditioning for certain parts of the building.

If the investment allows, the heating and cooling of the internal spaces of the complex should use geothermal energy; in addition to large financial savings in the operation of the facility the area of the technical spaces for heating and air conditioning will be significantly reduced.

It should be borne in mind that most of the contents of the facility will be equipped with video surveillance.

It is recommended that most of the required technical rooms be located on the underground floors.

G             GARAGE AND AUXILIARY PREMISES

The auxiliary premises include workshops, storage, garbage disposal and other facilities included in this type of facility.

It is recommended that part of the required garage space be located on the underground floors.

*Note:

APPENDIX 1 provides a detailed description of individual rooms, the manner of equipment usage and more detailed spatial conditions
